Working for more than 25 years together, the Dutch fashion photographer duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin have changed the world of fashion photography. They’ve collected many awards and their artworks can be seen in both private and museum collections. There’s also a book about their work called “Pretty Much Everything”.
A.F. Vandevorst Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear
I expected many things from Paris Fashion Week so I am not going to lie about it. I did not see enough breathtaking creations even during day 4. We mostly saw dark and white shades. I thought that Spring is about colors and floral patterns but every single designer had different plans. However I liked some pieces but I only found two of them interesting. Firstly, Christian Dior showed us some stunning designs and I have to admit that it was the best Ready-to-Wear I had ever seen. Also, Andrew Gn had some unique and not at all monotonous patterns and this was a lovely surprise. So take a look at what was presented that day.
Every time the season changes, I love going window shopping to see all the new collections of my favorite stores. And my most favorite of all, is no other than Zara; my little paradise on earth!
What surprised me the most this year, was the fact that there was a lot of color in this collection! Leave the total black outfits of the previous fall/winter at home and add some color to your everyday life. Oversized jumpers, strict lines, prints and retro style stand out and we can’t wait to wear them!

The Body shop is going to launch its new nail polishes collection, on October 6th, with 24 unique and beautiful shades every girl would adore. This collection differs from others because of some special reasons. First of all, it does not contain harsh chemical ingredients such as formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and camphor. Moreover, it provides high quality, dermatologically-tested products. Also, their composition does not contain any animal derivatives. Being sold in this affordable price, you can’t find any reason why not to buy it at least once, do you?
So we reached the 4th day of LFW during which we saw many geometrical shapes, beautiful gowns, romantic ribbons and intense volumes! I personally loved the following collections: Mother of Pearl, Issa, Peter Pilloto and Burberry Prosrum! The one and only collection I almost hated, was by Thomas Tait, cause the biggest part of this collection was like circus costumes… and which woman would like to look like a clown? So let’s see all the collections analytically!
New York Fashion Week is nearly over and I was very pleased to cover Day 8 – to be able to talk about one of my ever favorite designers, Marc Jacobs. I took a look at the below shown designers and must confess I was very puzzled by some very eclectic collections – it’s good to be that way, but sometimes it’s too eclectic, if I can state so. Some of the collections looked like as designed by different people, in my opinion. Marc Jacobs didn’t really “shake” me this time, but I liked the outfits with big pockets, military design and mix of colors and fabrics. Clover Canyon, being quirky, really got me – it was difficult for me to choose only 4 looks to post here. I would wear most of them – and the T-shirts can be worn by both men and women. And J. Mendel really turned to be one of my favorite designers now – so feminine, so chic, the perfect balance using colors! Same goes to Ralph Lauren and Juan Carlos Obando. Erin Fetherston brought feminine looks as well, but not in a very cohesive way to me. Hope you like Day 8 and share with us your opinions about it!
We’re somewhere in the middle of the NYFW and we still have so many designer houses to see. From day 5 my favorite designers are Diane Von Furstenberg, Carolina Herrera and Lela Rose. I simply loved most of their designs. On the other side, always in my opinion, we have The Row and Tommy Hilfiger. The awkward posing award goes to the models of Co and Rosetta Getty (what’s up with that? I wonder!). Let us know which your favorite designers of Day 5 were simply by leaving a comment below.
Brandon Sun Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear
Days are passing by and we are all impatient to see what is going to happen in this year’s NYFW. We are already on Day 4 and I saw some amazing collections and some that were not that close to my personal style but still worthy of paying attention to. Above all, I was waiting for Victoria Beckham’s creations which I really loved. The key was in their details and especially in the colorful leather belts, that matched the coats and jackets. Moreover, I saw many beautiful creations by Giulietta with the perfect royal blue color and Brandon Sun’s strict patterns and colorful combinations. Enough said though; let’s see my favorites from that day.
Sarah Jessica Parker is back with another SJP collection for FW 2014-15. This time, she added some bags to the mix, while she gave some of the styles of her previous collection a makeover. SJP paid tribute to some of her closest friends by naming her new designs after them. Like the Pat boot which is a tribute to Patricia Field, and the Serge bootie, whose name is inspired by her hair stylist Serge Normant. Among the now well-known designs like Carrie and Alison that are being re-introduced to us in new colors, you can find some bags like the “New Yorker” and the “Greenwich”. The whole collection will be sold in Nordstrom and its prices will range between $220 and $695.
