Chiara Ferragni might have her own line, called Chiara Ferragni collection, but she recently collaborated with the Italian brand Tod’s for a special, limited edition capsule collection that consists of two pieces. The iconic Gommino Bag and the Gommino Double T Loafers are getting a new look, for Summer 2017. The exclusive version of the Gommino Bag by Chiara Ferragni comes in powder pink, the no. 1 color of this season, while the Gommino Double T Loafers come in a neutral suede tone. The collection is already available in select Tod’s flagship stores and on tods.com, and this special edition also has a charitable side: aid will be provided to the most damaged territory hit by the 2016 Central Italy earthquakes; Marche, where the brand was born.

Alessandra Facchinetti quits Tod’s

Alessandra Facchinetti, is leaving Tod’s, after three years as a creative director of the house. The designer left her post, in order to focus on future projects which are not intended to promote the strategy of Tod’s as she told herself. Alessandra Facchinetti is also known from Valentino on which she took over the artistic direction back in 2007, and also from being in charge of the female line of Gucci two years before her successor Frida Giannini. The Tod’s house hired the designer in 2013 because of her distinctive aesthetics which reflect the style of the company. There is no information on the next step of the designer, neither for the replacement of the artistic direction of the house.
