L’Oreal teams up with Balmain for a makeup collection

Remember back in May when we told you about a collaboration between L’Oreal and Balmain was coming? As we’re getting closer to the release date, more photos and information about the collection is coming out, so we thought we should remind you about it. The capsule collection will include 12 shades of matte lipstick by Color Riche and the exclusive collaboration with Balmain. The L’Oréal Paris x Balmain collection, will be called Tribe Coutoure, and will come in three couture packs: Rock, Couture and Glamazone, designed to match every complexion. The motto of the collection is: “No matter your origin, No matter your tribe. Come together, be seen, be heard. United, we are invincible. Because we are all worth it”. It’s the first time Balmain’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, designs a collection for the beauty industry, after his very successful collaboration with H&M, and the release of his first children’s line, and it’s expected to be an absolute hit. The first colors and their names have already been revealed through the brands’ social media, but the full makeup collection will be launched on September 1st, during Paris Fashion Week and will be available in all Balmain stores.

Balmain fall 2017 campaign

For the first time, Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director, got behind the lens to photograph the brand’s fall 2017 campaign. The series of black & white photos were all shot in the streets of Paris, the Palais Royal, Le Pantheon, and in Balmain’s flagship store. The members of the Balmain Army we see in the fall campaign are: Natasha Poly, Lara Stone, Presley Gerber, Ton Heukels, Jon Kortagarena, Marlon Teixeira, Grace Bol, Aleyna Fitzgerald, Alexina Graham, and Valery Kaufman. The campaign has a very sensual character, with some of the models being photographed naked in front of such landmarks.

In his new collection for the famous activewear brand, sporty style becomes high-fashion, including performance boosting clothing techniques, such as flyknit, for those wanting to achieve their highest. The new collaboration of H&M with the French fashion house Balmain, thrilled the audience of fashion since the very first time it was announced. More and more fans of Balmain are eager to get a high fashion item, on a affordable price as offered by the Swedish fashion company. The house’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, is deeply inspired by the couture roots of Balmain, from the very beginning and Christian Dior’s “New Look” to the movement of pop culture. His menswear collection for H&M, includes pieces emitting a sexy and rock n’rol feeling, having the favor of his friend Rihanna and the entire Kardashian family, who loved the collection. The first pieces, as they were presented from GQ magazine, strongly resemble those of the original Balmain line and is expected to be sold out in just a few hours from their global release. The Balmain x H&M collaboration will officially be on sale on November 5th.
