LFW Ready-to-wear fw2016-2017

London Fashion Week is already over, and I can’t say I was impressed by most presentations. I think that LFW is my least favorite of all. I did find some favorites though, and here’s what I noticed about the whole LFW and what I liked about these particular collections. Most collections were way over-the-top, with too much layering, prints, and presentations that, in my opinion, took away from the designs. The ones I liked, were more minimal, and used beautiful colors (some of the times pastels too), mesh or lace. My hands down favorites were David Koma, Eudon Choi, Jasper Conran, and Xiao Li. You can see all the shows here. Let us know which one was your favorite designer for this season.

NYFW Fall 2016 Ready-to-wear

Well, the fashion month has already started, and NYFW has come to an end. Naturally we wanted to write a full report on it, and after spending hours looking at all the shows, and picking out the good from the bad, I’ve came up with 25(!) favorite collections from this season. I was glad to see that many designers incorporated spring into their fall collections, using bold and pastel colors on chunky knits, and coats. Gray and hats are still trends that are going strong to the next seasons as well, and that’s also something which find me in agreement, since I’m a fan of those trends. My usual favorites Victoria Beckham and Christian Siriano disappointed me a bit for this season, but I there were some other brands whose collections I really fancied, such as: Banana Republic, Bibhu Mohapatra, Escada, J.Crew, Kate Spade New York, Lela Rose and Polo Ralph Lauren. All in all it was a good Fashion Week, with the good and the bad. You can see all the shows here, and pick out your favorites!

LFW Spring 2016 ready to wear featured

Milan Fashion Week is slowly coming to an end, but before we cover that one, it’s London Fashion Week’s turn. Many designers showed their new collections on London Fashion Week, but only few managed to impress us. Among them, my personal favorites: Daks, Felder Felder, Issa, Peter Pilotto, Temperley London, and last but not least Topshop Unique. Their collections really managed to catch my attention, because of their clean lines and interesting designs! The rest of the collections featured many prints and materials which made them look non-wearable, but LFW is known for its alternative vibes and extravagant designer pieces. Which one was your favorite collection?

Lacoste fall winter 2015-16 Sports collectionSPORTS COLLECTION

Lifestyle and performance could very well be the 2 bywords of this Lacoste Sport Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection. Focus is on tennis. This winter, movement seems to be the principal source of inspiration, while the design home is on performance. A collection as easily worn upon courts and greens as it is across city streets, where the sports-chic allure becomes more urban.

Fashion month is coming to an end, but there’s a lot yet to see. Apart from the all-time-classics black grey and brown, white is going to become the new black. Also, one of the most used prints for fall 2015 is the floral as we see in most of the collections. There were several comments about Gucci’s house new aesthetics combining the androgynous style with eccentricity, under the supervision of the new creative director of the house, and Frida Giannini’s successor, Alessandro Michele. The fashion crowd was also thrilled by Emilio Pucci’s excellent designs, most of which where in a scale of black and white. That was all the latest fashion news. Come back in a few days and you’ll find out everything about the next fashion week (believe me, it’s worth it!).

Fall 2015 LFW SB Ready to Wear

Fashion month is still on, this time in London. The smaller fashion week than the four of them is over, leaving us with less favorite looks as the shows weren’t many. Mary Katrantzou’s collection with the exceptional and unique prints used along with the exquisite collection of Christopher Kane based in simple, yet elegant silhouettes stood out for the fashion crowd. Also, the same impact had Burberry Prorsum’s collection featuring the brand’s iconic coats. These are the best looks of the designers! You can also see their entire collections by clicking on the links below the photos. Come back soon to learn about fashion week news, because fashion month is still not over!!

The New York Fashion Week may be over, but Stylishly Beautiful will inform you about everything that happened and of course you’re going to see the best designer looks for  autumn/winter 2015-2016 season. In general, the runways were dominated by furs, fur vests and accessories creating a new trend for the upcoming season. Black, white, grey and khaki where the main colors used by the designers to develop their collections. Also, the fashion crowd was impressed by Alexander Wang’s dark collection, as most of the looks were total black and by Michael Kors’ high quality dresses and furs. The first show of Peter Copping for Oscar de la Renta, a few months after the omonymous designer’s death, didn’t go unnoticed either. You’ll find the best looks of the catwalk, from my point of view of course, below. If you want to see more, click the links below the pictures:

PFW Spring 2015 Ready to wear FeaturedAnd we’ve finally reached the end of Paris Fashion Week, and the end of the fashion month. I’m happy to report that the last day was a nice surprise to an otherwise, not very interesting fashion week, despite the well-known designers that it included. For me the highlight of the day were the bright & ethereal creations of Rahul Mishra, followed by Miu Miu and Masha Ma for their feminine lines and the abundance of pencil skirts. I was also a fan of Hermes’, Louis Vuitton’s and Moncler Gamme Rouge’s collections, for their mostly clean and minimal lines, and interesting designs.

PFW RTW Spring 2015 Day 8 featuredParis Fashion Week has almost come to an end (it ends today), and we’re finally ready to wave this fashion month goodbye, because even though we didn’t go to the actual shows, even covering them from the comfort of our houses, was not an easy job. So don’t get me wrong, but I feel a bit relieved for that fact. I was eagerly waiting for day 8 to come, because I wanted to see the shows of Chanel, Valentino and Alexander McQueen. While Valentino had some really nice pieces in this collection, I wasn’t that impressed with the other two. I loved the idea of Chanel Boulevard, and how everything was presented, but I didn’t like the actual collection that much. I think Chanel left their usual classic feminine chic image behind, and did something different with their last 2 collections. More colors, more prints, and a lot of sporty chic again! Sporty chic was definitely a trend we saw in many collections this season, so it’s definitely going to be big again this spring. My favorites of the day were: Valentin Yudashkin for his dreamy, and feminine creations, and Shiatzy Chen. Which were your favorites of the day?

Elie Saab Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear

As the Fashion Week of Paris comes to an end, things are getting more interesting. On day seven, we saw some of the most famous houses, like Stella McCartney, Elie Saab, Veronique Branquinho, Sonia Rykiel and Sain Laurent. Everyone showed some great designs but I really loved the ones by Elie Saab. They are feminine and unique, in stunning shades, which remind of spring time. This was a day which I definitely wanted to be there. Let’s see what was presented that day.
