Barbie has collaborated with another fashion brand, and released a Gigi Hadid x Tommy Hilfiger doll. The doll was previewed at the beginning of the year at the TommyNow 2017 show, as part of the ongoing collaboration of Gigi and Tommy Hilfiger, but there wasn’t any talk about making the doll available for sale. However, the Barbie doll is now available for pre-order on Barbie.com. The doll features the hoodie and shorts Gigi was wearing on Tommy Hilfiger’s first runway show back in 2016. “The collaboration with Gigi and Barbie was an exciting new twist on our brand’s history of partnering with pop-culture icons and our ongoing ambassadorship with Gigi,” said Hilfiger in a statement. “The final look of the Tommy x Gigi Barbie doll is a celebration of a defining moment in the history of Tommy Hilfiger women’s wear.”. Tommy x Gigi Barbie will be available to shop online at both barbie.com and tommy.com, as well as at Tommy Hilfiger’s London, Paris, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam and New York flagship stores.

Mattel turned Gigi Hadid into a Barbie doll, in honor of Gigi’s second capsule collection with Tommy Hilfiger. In the first pictures they released on @BarbieStyle ‘s account, the two friends go roller-skating in Venice, and take selfies in their matching Tommy Hilfiger crop tops. Gigi posted the photo on her personal Instagram account with the caption: “Can’t believe that’s me !!!!!!! ? Thank you for this honor #Mattel, @tommyhilfiger ❤ can’t wait to have #BARBIE join us at the #TOMMYxGIGI show tomorrow!”. And she did join them, as Barbie was invited by Tommy Hilfiger to watch the show of the collaboration between him and Gigi. Do you remember when Mattel created a Chiara Ferragni Barbie doll? Have you heard the news? Mattel created a Chiara Ferragni Barbie doll! Yes, it’s true! Both @barbiestyle and @chiaraferragni Instagram accounts confirmed it! Chiara is the first fashion blogger to become a Barbie doll, but that doesn’t really come as a surprise to the longtime fans of said blogger. Chiara was holding a Barbie doll on her very first post when she started blogging, back in 2009. She also posed as a Barbie Girl, for Grazia Italia, back in September 2014, to promote the (then) upcoming collection of Moschino by Jeremy Scott, which was a collaboration between the brand, and Barbie. The new Chiara Ferragni Barbie doll not only looks like Chiara, but she also follows her style, including shoes & phone case from Chiara’s personal collection. We still haven’t heard if this new doll is going to be for sale in stores, but we’re guessing there are going to be some limited pieces available as part of their collaboration. #BarbieLovesTezenis capsule collection
Last week, we talked about the collaboration of Barbie and Sophia Webster. Continuing in the same theme, we have a new collaboration for fall, between Barbie and Tezenis. Tezenis is going to launch a new capsule collection with t-shirts, jumpers, pjs and underwear for women and girls. This new capsule collection is meant to create a nice shopping experience for mothers and daughters to share together. To celebrate this new collaboration, Mattel is going to create a limited edition “One Of a Kind Doll”, who will be wearing some of the clothes of this collection, in mini sizes to fit Barbie. The limited edition Barbie and #BarbieLovesTezenis capsule collection will be available in stores worldwide from the upcoming September.

Mattel and Zara joined forces to equip young fans with the appropriate “Hot Wheels look” for a full throttle adventure. The new collection – the result of the collaboration of these two companies – consists of children’s t-shirts, in 3 different colors. The images of Hot Wheels cars, the dynamic slogans and retro graphics with bright colors give life to the collection. Your kids can already find the collection in Zara stores.
