Beth Ditto and Jean Paul Gaultier Announced a Plus-Size Clothing Line

The Gossip front woman, Beth Ditto, is about to release an eponymous plus-size clothing line in collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier, which she just announced with a special-edition T-shirt designed in collaboration with the designer. The singer says that the collection will feature “current styling with a vintage flair”, as well as “vibrant prints and well-tailored pieces, with silks, rayons and embroidery that are frequently missing from plus-size lines”. Ditto’s full plus-size collection will be available in February and the Beth Ditto x Jean Paul Gaultier shirt already retails for $165, available exclusively at BethDitto.com.

The Melina Mercouri foundation challenged the famous designer to get inspired by the one and only Melina Mercouri and design two pieces of clothing in order to brace the foundation’s intents! It’s really not that new, but Jeremy Scott has launched his first fragrance for Moschino back in November – the playful perfume Toy. The bottle is a teddy bear, it’s sweet! True, to spray the perfume, you have to take the head of the bear off, which is a bit creepy… It’s unisex and humorous, like the appointed creative director of Moschino says: “one thing I have and most of other designers don’t… is humor”.

Maybe it’s nice to see other playful perfume bottles as well, to give us a smile?

Jean Paul Gaultier designs for Eastpak

Two months ago we talked about the Eastpak Artist Studio, a collection which aims to raise money for Designers Against Aids (DAA). That was the first time JPG collaborated with Eastpak and now he designed a limited edition collection of seven backpacks for the well known luggage brand. The two brands reunited just to awake people about Aids and HIV and the biggest part of the profits will go to DAA again. Part of the collection will be available on February 1st and the rest on April 1st!

Eastpak Artist Studio 2014 Collection

Eastpak, the well known luggage brand, announced the names behind its 2014 Artist Studio Collection, which aims to raise money for Designer’s Against Aids (DAA). Many big fashion names are invited to design one-of-a-kind backpacks close to their styles, to be bid for, online. Christopher Shannon, Jean Paul Gaultier, MSGM and Manolo Blahnik are some of the names that have signed up to the project, which starts on World Aids Day, on December 1st. Each of their creations will be auctioned online for 20 days, and all profits with be donated to the charity organization.
