Guerlain Meteorites Summer 2018 Collection

We’ve been waiting for Guerlain’s Météorites Summer 2018 collection for so long and we finally know the release date. The brand will launch this dreamy collection which includes limited editions of Météorites Rainbow Pearls and Météorites Le Parfum, this June. Firstly, both products have cute packages in pastel shades. They will be a lovely addiction to our collection.

Météorites Rainbow Pearls will make your summer skin shine with the glow of the colourful pearls with soft, semi-matte finish. It features six pastel colour pearls that produce a bright and highlighted skin:

Yellow and green pearls suppress redness
Pink provides the skin with lively youthfulness
Apricot covers imperfections
Purple captures the light
Blue fight skin dullness

Météorites Le Parfum is developed by the brand’s fifth generation perfumer Thierry Wasser. He described it as a gentle, floral-fruity fragrance with a woody-musky background. The top notes are bergamot and apple. The heart notes are rose and violet. As base notes, they chose white musk and woody notes.

We can hardly wait to check them over the counter. Don’t waste time as they are limited edition and they might sell out quickly.

Guerlain launched the Mon Guerlain perfume one year ago as a tribute to a contemporary women “with a strong and sensual femininity, as inspired by Angelina Jolie“. This Spring, the brand launches a new version more floral one, the Mon Guerlain Florale. The Carla lavender remains as a top note. The heart retains Sambac jasmine in a higher concentration together with notes of peony and Paradisone molecule. The base includes vanilla, iris and sandalwood. The elegant and timeless bottle design based on the Nuances d’or de Guerlain remains the same but it comes in rose-gold colour. Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum Florale will be available in 50 ml and 100 ml.

Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder review

So, you like to test products. Good brands tend to have good quality products. You then buy the advertised products and think they will accomplish what they promise…

This is the Guerlain Météorites Perles Teint Rose Illuminating Powder and as you can see, I was one of the persons in the first paragraph – believing that this powder would be amazing. For a Guerlain product it lacks some packaging quality, just for the start. The container is beautiful, golden, with lovely detailing on the lid – it reminds me of a powder container that my grandmother had and I loved it. It feels really vintage and elegant. The problem is that it chipped so quickly, and I was so disappointed and surprised of such (bad) quality coming from Guerlain… and for the price paid.
