Fashion month is still on, this time in London. The smaller fashion week than the four of them is over, leaving us with less favorite looks as the shows weren’t many. Mary Katrantzou’s collection with the exceptional and unique prints used along with the exquisite collection of Christopher Kane based in simple, yet elegant silhouettes stood out for the fashion crowd. Also, the same impact had Burberry Prorsum’s collection featuring the brand’s iconic coats. These are the best looks of the designers! You can also see their entire collections by clicking on the links below the photos. Come back soon to learn about fashion week news, because fashion month is still not over!!
Designers: we know the obvious and acclaimed ones, like Ferragamo, Givenchy, Dior and many others. But there’s a new generation putting their stamp on fashion and it’s worth to know about them!
The New York Fashion Week may be over, but Stylishly Beautiful will inform you about everything that happened and of course you’re going to see the best designer looks for autumn/winter 2015-2016 season. In general, the runways were dominated by furs, fur vests and accessories creating a new trend for the upcoming season. Black, white, grey and khaki where the main colors used by the designers to develop their collections. Also, the fashion crowd was impressed by Alexander Wang’s dark collection, as most of the looks were total black and by Michael Kors’ high quality dresses and furs. The first show of Peter Copping for Oscar de la Renta, a few months after the omonymous designer’s death, didn’t go unnoticed either. You’ll find the best looks of the catwalk, from my point of view of course, below. If you want to see more, click the links below the pictures:
Couture week for spring 2015 has come to an end, and we’re here to show you some of the best couture pieces from the collections. Some collections were futuristic, like the ones by Atelier Versace, some really theatrical, and in some cases over-the-top, like Valentino, Viktor & Rolf and Maison Martin Margiela, and some a bit disappointing like big house names such as Christian Dior and Chanel. My personal favorite ones were the absolute dreamy creations by Elie Saab, and Zuhair Murad. The creations of the latter surprised me, for being even dreamier than the ones from Elie Saab, who has been known for creating fairytale-like dresses over the years. Here are some of my picks, from all the collections. You can click on the links under the photos to be directed to the collections’ pages.
Santa had a wardrobe full of red velvet costumes for almost 100 years (and of course all the accessories) and I think he was kinda bored of them. This is what the creators of Joint London thought too and invited many designers to give him a new and fresh look! The result of this great idea is now on some gorgeous Christmas postcards ready to deliver all around the world! So let’s see the coolest colab of all times: designers X Santa!
Logomania is back with total strength! It was a sign of style and good taste in the 90s, when you could wear brands and their visible logos from head to toe… after some time, it was restricted to sunglasses and some bags. The new century considered wearing some logos kitsch and tasteless. Now Louis Vuitton (who never stopped displaying the famous LV logo on their goods), for example, launched a collection – as part of the 160th brand anniversary – called “Celebrating Monogram” (or the Icon and the Iconoclasts), with designers such as Christian Louboutin, Karl Lagerfeld and Rei Kawakubo, among many others, showing their take on Louis Vuitton goods. Lagerfeld, for instance, created boxing gloves and even a punching bag using LV logo. Louboutin designed a shopping trolley and Rei Kawakubo, the Comme des Garçons designer, the bag shown below.
Welsh designer Julien Macdonald will launch his first jewellery collection soon – extravagant and eccentric, with big sparkling crystal decorated pieces, inspired by wild life.
As a self-confessed shoe lover, with many hundreds of pairs, I don’t know what’s going on – suddenly, an addiction to bags was developed too… but how can someone possibly avoid this amazing collection of bags, called Fiamma, by Salvatore Ferragamo? It displays, of course, so high quality and so great taste and elegance… impossible to avoid just peeping at least once.
Greek designer Mary Katrantzou and her vibrant colors and prints are now a collection for Adidas and it will be in stores on November 15th. Sneakers, neoprene tops, jackets, body-tight dresses with the designer’s signature – a kaleidoscope of colors, even a bit psychedelic, we can say! The pictures speak for themselves, so check them out and dive into Mary’s colorful design!
