Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has released a special collection of hijabs and abayas for Muslim women which was unveiled globally at Style Arabia as part of its spring 2016 collection. The designs feature headgear and ankle-length robes made of fine fabrics, mostly black and beige but some designs had lace, flower prints, polka dots and lemons. The collection is already for sale in the Middle East, but pieces of the collection will eventually be available in  Milan, Paris and London.

Last September, Karl Lagerfeld transformed Grand Palais into an airport for the purpose of presenting the spring 2016 collection for Chanel. The collection consisted of airport looks and more casual ensembles which exude the feel of the luxury house. The new campaign of Chanel takes place in Red Hook, which is located in Brooklyn, with protagonists the models Mica Arganaraz and Lineisy Montero who are posing as travel companions on a discovery voyage in New York. French fashion house Louis Vuitton has announced their new model for their spring/summer 2016 campaign which is not a real person. It’s actually a character, Lightning from Final Fantasy series, which is a strong female protagonist in the game. Nicolas Ghesquiere, Louis Vuitton’s creative director, announced the news through his Instagram account! This could be the beginning of a pretty interesting trend, what do you think?

Riccardo Tisci’s spring/summer 2016 collection for Givency is full of love and positive energy! The ad Campaign was a huge project with 27 models which was shot in Manhattan by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott starring Natalia Vodianova, Candice Swanepoel, Gemma Ward, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr and many more in three different images for the campaign.

They all look gorgeous, don’t they ?

The Gossip front woman, Beth Ditto, is about to release an eponymous plus-size clothing line in collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier, which she just announced with a special-edition T-shirt designed in collaboration with the designer. The singer says that the collection will feature “current styling with a vintage flair”, as well as “vibrant prints and well-tailored pieces, with silks, rayons and embroidery that are frequently missing from plus-size lines”. Ditto’s full plus-size collection will be available in February and the Beth Ditto x Jean Paul Gaultier shirt already retails for $165, available exclusively at BethDitto.com.

Sleeper, a brand that was established last year, says it all with its name. This a line created by Asya Varetsa and Kate Zubarieva for pajamas and robes, but not only to sleep – if you want, you can really go out wearing the items, and this was the way the two partners have conceived the brand to be. Miroslava Duma and Leandra Medine are fans of the brand! Sleeper is also the first Ukrainian brand to be sold by a luxury e-commerce site. The girls are rocking, being featured in important fashion magazines and now here, too!

The Italian brand Moschino celebrated the 30 years of the Italian plumper Super Mario by collaborating with Nintendo and making him the star of their new collection which will include knit sweaters, T-shirts, backpacks, circle bags, bucket bags, wallets and belts. Also Luigi, Princess Peach, coins, stars, and mushrooms will also appear in the collection! I absolutely love this cartoonish collection, what about you?

H&M Conscious Exclusive 2016

H&M announced its collaboration with the Musee des Arts Dicoratifs located in the Palace of the Louvre in Paris. The new H&M Conscious Exclusive collection, designed with inspiration drawn from the museum’s archives, will include women’s clothes and accessories, and will be launched on April 7th in 180 stores worldwide and online in conjunction with the opening of the exhibition Fashion forward – Three centuries of fashion. H&M will be the exclusive sponsor of the upcoming exhibition which will include selected styles from the archives of H&M, including an appearance by the first collaboration of H&M with the designer Karl Lagerfeld in 2004 and an appearance from the new collection Conscious Exclusive. The Parisian fashion director, style guru and distinguished advocate of sustainability, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, will be the face of the campaign.

Burberry Christmas campaign 2015 1

Burberry created an incredible and unique advertising campaign for Christmas 2015. It has recreated the opening scene of the musical “Billy Elliot”, to celebrate its 15th anniversary. Among the celebrities who star in this festive video is the famous musician Elton John, who wrote the musical’s music and Julie Walters, who starred in the film adaptation. The cast is completed with some of the biggest names from the world of cinema, music and fashion like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Naomi Campbell, Michelle Dockery and Romeo Beckham. However, there is one more reason why this campaign is so beautiful. The company donated the amount of £500,000 to be split between two charities, Place2Be and the County Durham Community Foundation, which have projects focusing on reducing barriers in education, and in training & employment in the local community of Easington (it’s the area where the film was set). Also, none of the stars who took part in the film were paid for their involvement. Everybody chose to donate their fee to the charities as well. Enjoy the campaign’s photos and video below!!
