Because of always testing and buying products that contain the words “rejuvenating”, people may think that I am obsessed with that. It may be true somehow, but actually since I was a teenager at the age of 18 I have always bought these products. I always thought that prevention is way much more efficient than trying to “recuperate” time after 30. Nanoblur caught my eye because of the possibility of immediate correction of the “aging process” (as they advertise), making your skin firmer – this is what the product promises. It’s an audacious promise, I thought, and I wanted to test it. Besides, it’s a famous product and many people seem to love it. I needed to check it out!

Origins facial cleansing steps for silky skin – review

Silky skin is the goal of many of us, isn’t it? I bet so! “Curiosity killed the cat” is the saying, but not in this case 🙂 True I am always testing products out of curiosity or gullibility, but among the products I test there is always a good surprise or a good recommendation that proves to be right. This is the case of the two products shown here today, by Origins: A Perfect World, antioxidant cleanser with white tea and Make a Difference, skin rejuvenating treatment lotion.

The first one is a pearly liquid soap and it really cleans your face, leaving a fresh and, as said before, silky sensation. The same sensation you will have after using the complementary lotion. You can use both alone, not needing to have the combined steps. I confess I use the liquid soap more.

Clinique facial powders | Review

Always looking for a beauty novelty, some time ago I read about the “fantastic” Clinique “translucent” powder. Well, I ran to the closest beauty shop and had to face not one, but three novelties by Clinique. There were three new powders, each one promising different “miracles”, and I didn’t know which one to choose, the one that would be the best for me. As it normally happens, I bought the three. And ended up convinced that the one I really wanted – the translucent one, actually called Invisible Blend – was really the best. But you know what, I don’t regret having the three, cause otherwise how could I know which was the perfect one for my skin? Besides, I love Clinique and I knew they would all be OK.

I am a bit skeptical about some products, primers, for example. Somehow I find that the cosmetic industry tries to create new products, just because of the need of permanent innovation, to grab consumer’s attention. And com’on, we know that most of us would be curious and would like to try new things – so the industry keeps on doing it, launching products that are not necessary, but they know they will make profit.

Dior BB cream: sensitive skin miracle | Review

I guess by now it’s no secret that I have very sensitive skin, as many people do. It’s OK, as long as you know yourself and use the right products. Some your dermatologist, like mine, will recommend – but some are part of our curiosity to test creams and… wow, some really work. The down side is that normally the good products for sensitive skins are the most expensive ones. Alas, if they are good to me, I’ll wear them gladly!

This is the case of Diorskin Nude BB Creme, therefore the title. It IS really miraculous. It gives your skin a flawless finish, lasting the whole day.

I’ll be honest: I discovered this product – Alpha-H Liquid Gold – because of… the Duchess of Cambridge. Well, it was because of a magazine, of course. The magazine said that Kate Middleton wore this serum and that she liked it. We can never say what is true or not, but as I love serums I was eager to give it a try – before that, as I said, the product was completely new to me, even the brand. So I thought “why not?” and bought it.

I don’t believe in lip plumpers; I bought it because it is from a brand I love and it says it acts like a balm, and I love lip balms. I wear them alone many times, acting like a lip gloss or lipstick. So, I was eager to try it. I thought it would be good for sensitive skin lips.

Superb Dior nail polish | review

I had to write such a title – Dior nail polish is simply phenomenal! For years I have worn transparent nail polishes because 1) I do like them; 2) well, no colored nail polished lasted more than 2 days on my nails, without chipping very fast. Do believe me, I have tried many brands, even foreign ones, and nothing really helped. The closest I got to, was the amazing GT cosmetics one by Tommy G from Greece. It’s really good!

Sisley cleansing milk review

I confess I – many times – am lazy to take makeup off, but I have sensitive skin and I have to be more attentive. As sleepy as I can be, it’s highly recommended to make an effort and remove makeup. When I wear just eyeliner and concealer and am very sleepy, I confess – again – that I don’t mind it very much. I’m wrong, I know. But when I wear foundation I normally clean my skin before going to bed.

Having written that, I can say that an alternative to soap and water or cleansing foam is Sisley-Paris cleansing milk with sage. You’ll be surprised, as much as I was!

La Mer Regenerating Serum

I like La Mer very much – I think their creams and serums are fantastic and accomplish what they promise. This serum is absolutely amazing, in my opinion and I’ll tell you why!

The name says “regenerating” and I suppose it regenerates your skin if you have problems, as it states. I didn’t find anything regenerating – probably because it’s meant for skins with problems, as I said – mine is just sensitive, not problematic. Nevertheless, although not “regenerating” for me, I found it brilliant, in the sense that it left my skin glowing, very soft and silky with a non-greasy feeling, which I loved. Some serums I have reviewed here were very oily and this one won’t leave any trace of grease.
