Places | Keukenhof gardens | Netherlands
This is the first guest post of Ioanna, from The Colourful Bouquet blog. Ioanna moved to The Netherlands about a year ago, and had the pleasure of visiting Keukenhof gardens some time ago, and take these beautiful photos! If you don’t know these gardens, read along, and you’ll find out everything you need to know about them.
Keukenhof is one of the world’s most famous largest gardens. Of course it’s in the Netherlands, the country that is famous for flowers especially tulips. It has more than 7 million bulbs and every year it has a different theme. It’s in Lisse, a small city between Amsterdam and Hague that is easily accessible by car or public transport. It’s open every year only for 2 months (from March till May) when the flowers are blooming. It’s definitely an experience that you have to try at least once in your lifetime. The place is amazing. There are canals and a windmill and you can walk in little pathways among flowers. It’s better to visit it on week days because on weekends there are so many people and it’s difficult to enjoy it. So if you are going to visit the Netherlands plan your trip between March and May to visit Keukenhof.
