Facial treatments based on your age
Do you wonder what your skin needs to be young and radiant? You don’t know what products are better suited for your age? Then keep reading because this post can answer your questions.
20s: In your twenties your skin needs only a good hydration to be in the best condition. The elasticity and firmness are at their best and you have to do some treatments to maintain it in that state. The first thing in your list has to be the makeup remover. Even when you are really tired or you came home from a night at a bar, you have to remove your makeup. Your skin, just like your body needs rest, so don’t skip this. Don’t forget your sunscreen, especially if you live in a country with a lot of sun. It will be good for your skin to avoid the endless hours under the sun, because you will regret it in the future. The sunscreen protects you from premature photoaging, dark spots and discolorations, which are results of the harmful rays of the sun. It will be also good for your skin to exfoliate it at least once a week with the right products for your skin type.
30s: This is the age that terrifies most of the women. It’s the time that you will see the first fine wrinkles. Don’t worry though, because it’s normal. The skin begins to lose its elasticity and the wrinkles are the result of your every day expressions. There is a solution for everything! You can find hydrating and light anti-aging products that will suit you. The late 20s and early 30s is the right time to start applying an eye cream. Be careful though, about the creams that you buy. If they contain fruit acids, you have to use them only during nighttime, because your skin will be sensitive to the sun. Of course your sunscreen is necessary both in winter and summer. Apply it on your face and neck, and you don’t have to be afraid of the sun anymore. The makeup remover and the peeling will continue to be your best friends.
40s: Now you begin to see the first deep wrinkles, so the products you use become more enhanced. Anti-aging and hydrating creams are necessary for your everyday routine. Eye and face serums also enter the game. Apply them before your cream or alone, as they improve the skin. You don’t have to exfoliate your skin so much because the production of the sebum is reduced. Of course it depends on the skin type. Your sunscreen has to be in your bag, in winter and summertime.
50+: The skin has even deeper wrinkles and the anti-aging creams are mandatory. Don’t forget to hydrate your skin because it’s really important. Dry skins have more wrinkles than normal and oily skins. Everything you used on your 40s stays in the game, but you should also start using creams for discolorations and brown spots. It will be good for you if you visit your beautician, she/he can tell you what is best for you. If you use any cream for discolorations at home, use it only in the winter (from October till maximum April) because your skin will be sensitive to the sun.
Generally, remember that it is better for you to visit your beautician, because as a professional he/she can give you the right treatment for your skin type and age. Don’t forget your sunscreen and your hydrating cream, in whichever age you are, because they are important. Of course it is also important to stay hydrated so make sure that you drink a lot of water. Whatever cream you apply to your skin, if you don’t drink enough water then your skin will be dull. The products that you choose have to be based on your skin type and on your skin’s needs. Finally a good night’s sleep is important, so make sure that you go to sleep early tonight.
