Fashion places – Ferragamo’s dream in Italy!

When we think of Ferragamo, we think of shoes, mainly. The brand certainly has carved its name with excellent quality shoes, bags, scarves and more. But Ferragamo is also a synonym of hospitality – Salvatore Ferragamo founded a chain of hotels in Italy, where you will feel really special!

The Lungarno Collection design hotels is a tribute to the history and elegance of Tuscany, so the hotels’ site states. The hotels are “inspired by the hospitality and the grand style that the Ferragamo family is known for”.

The famous and elegant Florentine architect Michele Bönan is the interior designer of the Lungarno Collection hotels. Because of their excellence, attention to detail and refinement, the hotels received many awards and major travel magazines give testimonial to the good taste of the brand. The brand has hotels in Florence, Rome, a Villa in the Tuscany countryside, Swan Yachts (Mediterranean and Caribbean seas) and a Resort at Baia Scarlino, in Tuscany – what about having your toilet filled with Ferragamo’s products? That’s what you’ll find in the hotels! The Lungarno Collection also holds art exhibitions. In Florence you can also visit the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum (Palazzo Spini Feroni – newest exhibition, Equilibrium, up to 12 April 2015). The exhibition combined data, documents and icons, and shows historic creations and significant images of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, such as Italian and international artists, philosophers, poets and so on.

I think if/when you go to Florence, this museum or a restaurant at the Lungarno Collection is as great as any of the celebrated Salvatore Ferragamo’s amazing shoe work, so you should definitely pay it a visit!
